Our cycle shelters are fully customizable. Standard sizes accommodate 5, 10, or 20 bikes, but we can design shelters for 50+ bikes if required. Capacity depends on whether you choose single-tier Sheffield stands (1 bike per meter) or space-saving two-tier systems.
Do cycle shelters come with bike racks included?
Yes, all our cycle shelters include Sheffield stands or two-tier racks as standard. Sheffield stands are the gold standard for secure bike parking, recommended by police forces and cycling organizations. We space them correctly (1m apart) to prevent handlebar tangling.
Can cycle shelters be made secure with lockable doors?
Absolutely. We offer lockable front or side access doors for maximum security. This is particularly popular with schools and businesses where bikes need protection overnight. Lockable options use robust hinges and can be fitted with padlocks or keypad entry systems.
What foundation is required for installation?
Cycle shelters typically require a concrete base pad (minimum 100mm depth) or can be anchored into existing hard standing. We provide full foundation specifications with your quotation, and our installation team can arrange groundworks if needed.
How long does installation take?
Most cycle shelter installations are completed in 1-2 days, depending on size. We work around your schedule to minimize disruption. For schools, we can install during holidays or weekends.
Can shelters be branded with school or company colors?
Yes. All our shelters are powder-coated in any RAL color of your choice at no extra cost. We can also incorporate logo panels or signage to match your brand identity.
What roofing options are available?
We offer UV-stable polycarbonate sheeting (clear or tinted) which provides excellent weather protection while allowing natural light. For complete weather protection, we can supply profiled metal roofing. Both options are highly durable and low maintenance.
Do you offer two-tier cycle parking?
Yes. Two-tier systems are ideal when ground space is limited. They double your parking capacity in the same footprint. We use gas-assisted systems making it easy to lift bikes to the upper tier.
